Job Summary:
To operate an assembly machine/ station, perform required pre-shift production, quality and safety checklist, ensure production quota met consistently each shift

Required Education and Experience:

  • Basic understanding of English (oral and written)
  • Minimum 3 months of manufacturing experience
  • Must be physically capable of performing work required
  • Must be willing to perform tasks that are of reasonable request by Supervisor
  • Excellent attendance
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be a Team Player
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required
  • Ability to work on different shifts as required
  • Ability to maintain records in an organized and tidy manner
  • Support Quality System, Health, Safety and Environmental Management System requirements
  • Must be willing to perform tasks that are of reasonable request by Supervision
  • Ensure that all duties and tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and at no time is the employee or their coworkers placed in an unsafe condition

Essential Functions:

  • Operating a machine/welding cell and or assembly line and to perform other duties according to specific job instructions provided
  • Perform first off and safety check at the start of each shift and to conduct process checks as required throughout the shift, and perform last off
  • Work in a safe manner, obeying all health and safety regulations. Report all unsafe acts and conditions to Supervision and/or the Joint Health and Safety Committee
  • Follow work instructions/ directions as required by Supervisor
  • Complete all production and quality documentation in an accurate and timely manner on a daily basis
  • Ensure housekeeping is maintain at all time at the work cell and follow the 5S process
  • Ensure that only quality parts are passed on to the next operation
  • Ensure that production quota is met on each shift
  • Update the production line sideboard as required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, productivity, quality, customer service, cost reduction and safety requirement

Working Environment:

  • 100% plant floor (PPE required)

Physical Demands:

  • Require communication with employees, peers and management
  • Lifting and pushing as needed, up to 20 lbs

Health, Safety and Environment:

  • Must work in accordance with health and safety regulations, company rules, plant rules, policies and procedures
  • Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company.
  • All employees are prohibited from walking under a suspended hoist, cranes or forklifts.
  • All employees must follow all LOTO procedures
  • Comply with all environmental requirements including our recycling program.
