Today, OSI Maritime Systems is a leading provider of integrated navigation and tactical solutions designed for naval and maritime security operations.

Among those solutions, the company develops and delivers integrated bridge systems for warships, integrated dived navigation systems for submarines, and C2 systems for small craft.

Presently, 23 countries totaling more than 600 warships and submarines operate using OSI systems.*Due to the nature of our company, all employees must pass specific security criteria.

Only candidates who are Canadian citizens, have PR status or have a citizenship from a NATO country, and who satisfy security clearance criteria, will be considered.


What You Will Do:
Collaborate with and lead your team to design, build, test, and ship high-quality software to OSI's customersHelp shape your team's and OSI's technical roadmapShape OSI's culture, and your team's, through improved tooling, streamlining processes and working across product boundariesMentor more junior software engineers

You Bring:5+ years' experience in a software environmentExperience in C/C++ development under WindowsAbility to understand and work with complex software requirement specificationsPrevious experience as a team lead, delegating work and reporting the status of the team requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong theoretical and algorithmic background with experience in mathematical and/or geospatial applicationsAbility to assist with analysis and design of solutions for algorithmically complex requirementsExperience with Jira and Visual StudioKnowledge and experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDCL) and Software DesignExperience with unit testingAbility to think outside of box and be a creative problem solverExperience in developing real-time interfaces to external systems is an asset but not requiredExperience working in an ISO 9001 compliant software engineering environment would be an asset; experience in the defense or aerospace domains is an asset but not requiredDegree in Computer Science, Software, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics or MathematicsWhy OSI?We have a Professional Development program in place that supports our employees in their career development by providing funds, time, and opportunities to become better at what they do.
