Ideal Profile:

Ahmed Group is currently seeking an intellectual, dynamic, and highly motivated Chief Financial Officer to lead its debt and equity sales and internal corporate accounting teams. The CFO will work closely with the CEO and COO to strategically lead the company to meet its growth goals. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or move into the lead CFO role, leading a fast-expanding real estate development company in the Greater Toronto Area. The right candidate would be able to lead by example and would set high standards. The ideal CFO will be energetic, positive, and personable with the ability to motivate a team and emphasize the importance of providing high levels of efficiency, productivity, and thorough production.

CFO Responsibilities:

●Support the CEO with all aspects of financial reporting needs.

●Oversee the company's day-to-day financial operations. Supervise all the bookkeepers and accountants in the accounting team.

●Present a summary of the company's cash flows to the CEO.

●Create and establish financial objectives that align with the company's plan for growth.

●Forecast and manage budget and predict future income and cash flow.

●Manage vendors and contractors.

●Plan and support an upcoming IPO in the near future.

●Liaise with high-net-worth investor clients.

●Keep up with current market trends in the Finance and Real Estate industry.

●Generate and present financial reports and models on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

●Responsible for preparation and analysis of financial statements, P&L, month-end close, general ledger, and account reconciliation.

●Monitor cash balances, cash forecast, and investment funds.

●Provide annual budget and cash flow projections for each major asset class.

●Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction.

●Represent the company with third-party financial managers, banks, real estate tax professionals, and accounting firms; develop tax strategies for various types of holdings and investments.

●Key member of the professional team to provide wealth management stability.

●Responsible for day-to-day activities of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, cash disbursements, tenant billing, and collections.

●Establish a full understanding of all partnership, management, and loan agreements, ensuring full compliance with all loan documentation.

●Maintain proper controls over daily capital transactions (wires, payroll, vendor payments, etc.).

●Obtain financing for property acquisitions or refinancing of existing properties.

●Prepare debt and equity packages for prospects, when needed.

●Strategize, lead development and asset plans, and maximize portfolio value.

Experience/Skills Requirement:

●Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of in-house real estate experience with a focus on accounting / finance.

●CPA, CFA, or Master's preferred.

●Excellent references required from current and previous employers.

●Establish financial operational strategies to ensure all deadlines are met and full advantage is taken with tax effectiveness.

●Prepare operational accounting reports and build out the finance/accounting team as needed to accommodate growth.

●Report to the executive team, investors, and board of directors.

●Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills and present a professional image both in person and over the phone.

●Must be able to handle multiple time-sensitive projects and prioritize heavy workloads.

●Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to complete time-sensitive projects.

●Meticulous eye for detail, accuracy, and high standards of presentation.

●Extreme organizational and time management skills.

●Ability to anticipate and problem-solve.

●Experience with accounting software.

●A desire to build and develop relationships.
