Job Responsibilities

The Analyst, Investment Finance & Valuations will have various duties during his/her work term which will include:

Assist with preparation of internal investment valuations, portfolio summary schedules and presentations as part of the quarterly valuation process; Help maintain and update excel-based financial models; Review and perform variance analysis on financial data; Assist in market research, maintaining market data and providing summary reports; Prepare valuation documentation for internal / external audit purposes; Assist with the development of budgets and forecasts; Working closely with other members of the Valuation team in order to ensure accuracy and completeness of analyses and documentation; and Participate in special projects or duties, as required.

You should apply if:

Working towards a business degree in Accounting or Finance; Interest in pursuing a CBV designation is a plus; General knowledge of financial and valuation analysis (i.e. financial statements, valuation methodologies, etc.); Attention to detail; Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level); Working knowledge of Capital IQ is a plus; Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Ability to perform under time pressure and respond to unexpected events or circumstances; Works on improving own knowledge, skills and aptitudes; and A strong team player able to operate in a fast-paced environment with numerous priorities and deadlines with effective organization time management skills.
