Skyworks Solutions is on the lookout for an experienced RFIC designer to join the Diversified Analog Solutions business unit based in Ottawa, Canada. This role involves designing a range of RFIC circuits, from PAs and LNAs to switches, DSAs, and VGAs, particularly for Automotive and IoT applications. You will be engaged in all stages of product development and collaborate with a diverse cross-site team to ensure the delivery of top-notch RF products to high-demand markets.

Responsibilities

  • Designing RF blocks like PAs, LNAs, Switches, DSAs, and VGAs
  • Utilizing various technologies (SOI, SiGe, and CMOS) to implement innovative RF circuitry for wireless product offerings
  • Hands-on involvement in IC layout, lab evaluations, and design optimization
  • Conducting comprehensive design reviews covering IC, packaging, EM, and thermal aspects
  • Providing support for customer-related issues and inquiries
  • Engaging with employees across all organizational levels, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving, data analysis, and critical thinking skills

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree with a minimum of 8+ years in IC design or MSc with 6+ years of design experience
  • Expertise in RF design/simulation using Keysight and Cadence tools
  • Thorough understanding of RF circuit architectures and design considerations for PAs, LNAs, and Switches
  • Familiarity with device bias design methods and analog circuit fundamentals
  • Working knowledge of IC layout techniques in a Cadence Virtuoso environment
  • Proficiency in at least one major EM tool for full IC and module-level simulation
  • Understanding of ESD protection techniques
  • Ability to create clear technical presentations and concise data summaries
