Responsibilities:

  • Read, interpret and implement blueprints and contract documents
  • Set elevations and grades for various project elements
  • Ensure highest safety standards are upheld
  • Organize daily crew and subcontractor activities
  • Ensure job quality and efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to project schedule
  • Prepare daily reports on project and crew progress
  • Identify and resolve problems in conjunction with management

Qualifications:

  • 5 Years experience in the civil industry (storm, sanitary, concrete, etc.) or combination of experience and education
  • Ability to use laser levels and other equipment to set grades and elevations
  • The ability to work safely around live utilities and in / around trenches
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Physically fit and willing to jump in and help where required
  • Demonstrates professionalism and competence when dealing with clients
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Experience with GPS survey equipment would be an asset
  • Experience with heavy equipment would be an asset
  • Experience in a leadership role would be an asset
