Comms Strategist

We are searching for a new team member to join the Strategy team at McCann Canada.

Our goal is to establish ourselves as the leading creative agency driven by strategy in Canada. We seek individuals who can develop communication plans that align with creative concepts and foster strong collaborations among teams. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about creativity and view the boundaries between creativity and strategy as fluid and insignificant, focusing solely on producing outstanding work. This role requires a strong emphasis on storytelling, teamwork, and innovative thinking. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of strategic principles and be capable of translating them into practical communication strategies by collaborating with creative, digital, and media teams. Moreover, they must excel in conveying a strategy in a meaningful and actionable manner. This role demands the ability to persuade and guide clients before addressing consumers or business clients, showcasing strategic acumen, persuasive skills, and a talent for storytelling that inspires exceptional work.

Primary Purpose:

We are seeking an individual who can navigate various aspects of modern strategic practices, with a focus on communication planning. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate the capacity to handle multiple projects and stakeholders efficiently in a dynamic environment with a positive attitude.

Position Requirements

Education / Experience:

• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in creative marketing strategy for consumer and B2B sectors, with a strong background in multi-channel campaigns

Skills and Competencies:

• Demonstrated success in creating strategic plans that benefit cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in developing campaign ecosystems
• Ability to comprehend the requirements of diverse stakeholders, teams, and audiences
• Proven track record of launching integrated campaigns successfully
• Capacity to generate innovative ideas and identify new activation opportunities
• Consistent delivery of highly effective campaigns
• Outstanding communication skills, including presentation, facilitation, and writing abilities
