The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of the intricacies of eating disorders, offering personalized nutrition guidance to clients and their families.

  • Lead group nutrition education sessions and collaborate with the treatment team to devise tailored meal plans
  • Conduct thorough nutritional assessments, including diet histories, growth chart data, and healthy weight range determination
  • Educate clients on the significance of nutrition for both physical and mental wellbeing
  • Work closely with medical and support staff to provide holistic care to clients
  • Assist clients in developing healthy coping strategies for stress and triggers related to food
  • Address clients' anxieties around food and eating habits

Preferred qualifications include 2+ years of mental health experience, expertise in treating eating disorders, and working with adolescents and young adults. Experience in leading groups and conducting individual assessments is a plus.

  • Familiarity with evidence-based eating disorder treatments like Family-Based Therapy (FBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • This position is based in Alberta
