The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage the tender and quantity take off process on multiple estimating projects: stipulated sum, lump sum, and construction management
  • Deal directly with sub-trades in preparation of tender documents
  • Work with the company leadership and the estimating team to close tenders and proposals
  • Manage the transition of the successful project estimating to the project management team for execution
  • Coach, mentor and train estimating team members
  • All other responsibilities as required

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • 10 years of experience within the GTA GC institutional interiors project estimating sectors
  • Experience estimating projects in the scope of $1M - $20M;
  • Local market experience with good trade relations;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership and mentor-ship skills
  • Willingness to maintain technical knowledge through professional development, education workshops and reviewing technical publications.

Our client is an established ICI general contractor, dedicated to institutional interiors projects across the GTA.

Due to current growth, the organization is currently looking to secure an experienced Senior or Chief Estimator to join their established team.
