Dear Grain Hamilton Commissary is an "Everything Sourdough" Bakery that specializes in artisanal sourdough pastries and breads. We aim to inspire, nourish and fulfil our team and the community we serve. We offer a respectful open work environment, friendly work culture, and chance to learn, be playful and creative.

We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join our night baking team (training will be offered). A person with an artisanal nature who likes making things beautiful.

Someone who loves working with their hands, is crafty, coordinated and into food and especially baking anything rustic like breads or pizzas.

Someone energetic, fast paced, detail oriented who thrives at night and enjoys working alone or with a small team.

It would be helpful if include a Cover Letter with your Resume telling us a bit about yourself.

Individual must be:

Punctual, reliable and responsible

Organized and methodical

Fast pace/ Multi task

Past experience professional in Kitchen environment 1 year

Must be able to transport to/from our location timely and reliably (live around hamilton)

Physically fit, able to lift 20kg

Daily Tasks Include
baking loaves per shift

scoring breads

Loading and unloading breads from electric deck oven

Packing breads For Deliveries

packing pastries

Cleaning the work Space

Potentially helping with scaling ingredients and mixing dough

Schedule:

3-4 days a week.

A shift Usually includes the evening into next day morning

Ideal Availability:
Sat into Sunday: Sunday into Monday; Wed into Thu: Fri Evening

Shifts 6-10hr may range between the hours 5pm - 5am

start PT, can grow into FT. 20-32hr week (depending on need/availability)
