Job Description:

Cite Parkway Retirement Residence is currently looking for a motivated individual to join their team as a Blossom Coordinator.

Job Summary:

As the Blossom Coordinator, you will report to the Wellness Director and play a key role in developing personalized activities for residents with early dementia. The focus is on understanding each resident's unique needs and creating a supportive environment where they can freely express themselves. Our approach values the emotional well-being of each individual, recognizing that everyone with dementia has a significant story that deserves respect and personalized attention.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a compassionate demeanor and a strong desire to help others
  • Completion of a dementia course and at least two years of experience in geriatric activities or recreation. Previous Personal Support Worker experience is a plus
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities
  • Flexibility to work day and/or weekend shifts as needed
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in English and French
  • Familiarity with community resources and experience in program development
  • Tech proficiency is advantageous
  • Background in program development is beneficial
  • Proof of receiving at least two doses of a Health Canada approved Covid-19 vaccine
