Job Summary

As a
Laboratory Assistant for the
Sample Management department located at the
Laval site, the employee will provide general technical support within laboratories on company premises, as required.

He (She) will carry out duties according to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) at all times.

In this role,
responsibilities may include:

  • Receive or pick up samples from the facility
  • Prepare the required materials for the study conduct
  • Keep the samples well organized within the freezers and ensure proper documentation
  • Perform maintenance/cleaning of the fridges and freezers
  • Keep the working area clean and organized

Key Elements
We are looking for the following minimum
qualifications for this role:

  • Minimum High School Diploma is required
  • Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail oriented and meticulous
  • English reading comprehension is mandatory. Bilingualism in French and English is preferred

Location
:
Laval/ Shuttle service between Montmorency metro station and the Laval site, Free parking

Schedule:
Weekday schedule, Monday to Friday
Permanent position as of the hiring, full time 37.5hrs per week

About Safety Assessment

Charles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state-of-the-art facilities and expert regulatory guidance.

From individual specialty toxicology and IND enabling studies to tailored packages and total laboratory support, our deeply experienced team can design and execute programs that anticipate challenges and avoid roadblocks for a smooth, efficient journey to market.

Each year approximately 300 investigational new drug (IND) programs are conducted in our Safety Assessment facilities.
