EIPS is seeking to hire a part-time Mathematics and Science Teacher at Fort Saskatchewan High.

Fort Saskatchewan High caters to roughly 470 students in grades 10 to 12, with 25 teaching staff and 12 support staff. Situated in Fort Saskatchewan, AB, approximately 20 kilometers north of Sherwood Park, AB, the school aims to create a vibrant student-centered environment that exemplifies lifelong learning, ensuring that every individual has the chance to realize their full potential.

Commencing August 27, 2024.

Teaching responsibilities will include Mathematics 10-3, Science 14/24, Biology 20.

  • Open to both internal and external candidates, with preference given to EIPS teachers holding a continuous contract and meeting the minimum requirements of the role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Education degree.
  • Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
  • Effective organization and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to cultivate a classroom atmosphere that is secure, supportive, and challenging for students.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience or familiarity with data analysis and its use in decision-making or instruction.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.
  • Growth mindset and receptiveness to feedback for enhancing practices.
  • Determined commitment to setting and achieving personal and professional objectives.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training.
