JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for ensuring and coordinating all the activities in the Production Floor in accordance with Production Plan and Shipping schedules; and conforming to Quality Management System and standards; so as to achieve on time delivery of customers' orders.
- Work closely with Setting Room (SR) Supervisor/Leadhand to coordinate material and parts, as per work orders and shipping schedule requirements. Jointly resolve any issues that affects shipping schedule.
- Support Maintenance or other departments, service providers and contractors for maintenance and Floor related activities.
- Conduct floor inspection periodically to ensure operations integrity; identify and report of various issues (process/quality/safety/maintenance/training) and recommendations to the Operations Manager.
- Investigate and report discrepancies and nonconformance issues to Operations Manager.
- Ensure issued materials and consumables inventory are properly maintained and restocked accordingly; proper control and issue for daily production usage.
- Liaise with and support QD ensuring all the products are inspected, packed and sealed with QC stamp carried out by the respective Final Inspector supported by QC Inspector & qualified personnel as per SOP.
- Report quality nonconformance issues through the NCR form; assist in conducting investigation and determine possible root cause; establish and implementing appropriate Corrective Action & Preventive Action (CAPA).
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering Departments implementing and executing the established preventive maintenance programs.
- Ensure general safety rules and regulations are being followed in shop floor at all times during the shift.
- Perform start of shift inspection and safety briefings as per SOP. Perform Safety Walkthroughs and address any safety concerns or take immediate corrective actions with parties concerned and submit report to Operations Manager. Ensure all safety protocols and lockout procedures are executed for work stoppages and equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure employee disciplinary policy compliance on the Floor at all times. Report noncompliance and perform intervention actions as per HR Procedures, including submitting incident reports as required. Maintain a LH's logbook on employee coaching and counseling.
- Responsible for the scheduling of emergency overtime, seek approval from the Operations Manager and record keeping.
- Identify training needs and make recommendation(s) for new job position or skills training/ crosstraining, meeting the production operation needs; submit the employee training form to facilitate proper administration of approval and execution of training program.
- Make recommendations on employees' request for temporary/permanent shift change; submit the form for approval.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum grade 12 completion and / or Bachelor or Diploma is an asset
- Previous or current experience in Lead Hand/ Supervisor role in manufacturing companies.
- Have Occupational First Aid level 2 certification.
- Strong employee relations, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Demonstrated computer proficiency skills: Word, Excel and Microsoft Office
- Strong team building skills.
