We are looking for a
Labour Relations Coordinator to join our team in
St. John's, NL.


The
Labour
Relations Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the company's labor relations initiatives by providing administrative support and assistance with the administration of the company's collective bargaining agreements.

The role requires a strong understanding of labor relations and a commitment to maintaining positive relationships with union representatives and employees.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the administration of the company's collective bargaining agreements, including tracking contract expiration dates, maintaining contract language databases, and communicating contract changes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Respond to and resolve employee and union representative inquiries regarding contract language, employee rights, and company policies.
  • Provide administrative support for labor relations initiatives, such as grievance handling, arbitrations, and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with HR and legal teams to develop and implement labor relations policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with union representatives and employees by promoting open communication and understanding of company policies and practices.
  • Stay uptodate on relevant labor laws and regulations, and provide guidance and support to management on compliance matters.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and organized labor relations records and reports.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of labor relations training programs for management and employees.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in labor relations, human resources, business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in labor relations, human resources, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of labor relations and experience with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with union representatives and employees.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and labor relations management software.
