Direct Support Professional (12 Hour Weekend Shifts)


We are seeking a Direct Support Professional for an individual (ICOF Employer) in her 30s requiring in-home support in the Garden City area.


Employment Status:
Part-time

Schedule:
Saturday 7am-7pm and Sunday 7am-7pm

Wage:
Starting at $15.11/hour

Benefits:

Location:
Garden City Area in Winnipeg, Manitoba

Responsibilities include providing overall care and support for the individual (ICOF Employer), including but not limited to:

  • Assisting the employer with personal care
  • Supporting the employer with meal preparation
  • Accompanying the employer for medical appointments
  • Supporting the employer in taking brief walks outdoors or on outings
  • Assisting with housekeeping activities

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a direct support worker role is an asset but not required
  • Driver's license required
  • Clear adult abuse check required
  • Clear criminal record check required
  • Valid CPR certificate required
  • Must be comfortable using or being trained on hoists/lift and transfer

With the guidance and support of a Support Network (unpaid family and friends), each individual chooses where to live, manages a budget, hires staff, and chooses where to work or volunteer.


Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 24 per week

Salary:
From $15.11 per hour
