Job Title: Ice Odyssey Driver Guide

As an Ice Odyssey Driver Guide, you will contribute to providing an exceptional experience for guests visiting the Columbia Icefield and Athabasca Glacier. Your role will involve operating various coach buses and unique off-road vehicles with a focus on delivering informative tour content. This exciting summer job opportunity extends from April 29 to October 14, 2024.

Compensation: The starting salary for this position is $26.50 per hour with additional retention bonuses for regular hours worked.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide interpretive tours around the Columbia Icefield and Athabasca Glacier
  • Ensure guest safety and deliver a memorable experience
  • Perform mechanical checks on vehicles
  • Responsible for vehicle care and passenger safety
  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • Support colleagues and manage tour operations
  • Communicate effectively with team members
  • Maintain environmental stewardship standards
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Experience driving a manual transmission
  • Tour guiding experience recommended
  • Strong focus on safety and customer service
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to problem-solve with a positive attitude
  • Fluency in English, additional languages a plus
  • Comfortable with outdoor work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
