Job Description

CEDA is looking for a Millwright Journeyman to join the Dredging and Fluid Management team at Imperial Oil's Kearl Lake. It's a temporary 7-month contract, site-based opportunity with camp and flights provided.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on rotating and stationary equipment within the dredging and fluid management fleet (dredges, tender boats, and positive displacement pumps)
  • Conduct critical laser flange alignment on equipment
  • Execute work in accordance with Transport Canada standards
  • Repair, fabricate, or replace machinery components
  • Rig and move machinery and parts
  • Assist with equipment start-up and shutdown following safety procedures
  • Interpret schematics and service manuals
  • Communicate task lists and order necessary parts
  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental practices are adhered to
  • Other assigned duties

Role Specifications
  • Journeyman Millwright Red Seal required
  • Mechanical understanding of dredges, pontoons, winches, and cutter heads (1+ years of experience)
  • Ability to read piping and instrument diagrams
  • Class 5 Driver's licence required
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test
  • Capable of physically demanding work
