Landscape Groundskeeper/Property Maintenance_ to join our growing team

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform full property maintenance and lawn care services for highrise residential properties.
  • Uses hand tools like rakes, shovels, pruning tools, etc. to maintain the property.
  • Operates vehicles and power equipment like lawn mowers, trucks, snow blowers, salters, weed whackers, leaf blowers, and chainsaws.
  • Follows landscaping design plans to plant flowers, trees, and shrubs.
  • Waters and treats plants and lawn with protective substances and eliminates weeds.
  • Removes snow with a snowblower or plow and shovels snow from pathways, sidewalks or other areas ensuring the safety of all, at all times.
  • Rakes leaves and removes debris from properties.
  • Disposes of trash and waste material.
  • Completes renovation work such as installing fences, gates, lights and/or repairs to existing structures.
  • Assists with maintenance of organization's physical operations including but not limited to heating, ventilation and air conditioning, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, plumbing, water treatment, and electric systems.
  • Ensures all groundskeeping, maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely, costeffective manner and according to all specifications.
  • Works collaboratively with summer student(s).
  • Prepares accurate and timely reports as required.
  • Maintains a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail while completing assigned tasks.
  • Follows safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for self and others.
  • Assists with other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • One to two years related experience is preferred
  • Valid driver's license and clear drivers abstract required
  • Experience driving a truck, trailer and operating other landscaping equipment is required
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow to achieve deadlines
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to train and provide clear direction to others
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Ability to understand all safety requirements and cautions
  • Hardworking attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Prior experience in lawn care/landscaping is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
