Rotation/Shifts:

  • Days, every second weekend, 8 hour shifts (08:0016:00).

Basic Requirements:

  • Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12);
  • Six (6) months of clerical experience or experience in booking patients;
  • Successful completion of TOH medical terminology selfdirected learning program or certification in medical terminology from a recognized educational institution;
  • Data Entry (4000 keystrokes/hour);
  • Basic Word;
  • Basic Excel;
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and disease processes;
  • Knowledge of all regulations under the Provincial Statues as they relate to patient information, release procedures, and patient's rights and hospital responsibility to secure patient information;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
