As an IT Operations Specialist at PolicyMe, you will be at the heart of ensuring our systems are running smoothly and efficiently. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be essential in establishing and maintaining a rigorous info security program that aligns with our strategic goals and SOC2 requirements. This position will have you working closely with various departments to support our day-to-day operations and long-term IT initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Delivering Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve software and hardware problems for end-users.
  • Provide first-line technical support to employees on a wide range of IT issues, including hardware, software, networking, and telecommunications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference.
  • Software and Device Management: Setup, installation, and configuration of hardware and software.
  • Manage device and equipment inventory.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions across various platforms and applications.
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure systems operate efficiently.
  • Monitor system health and recommend improvements where necessary.
  • Ensuring Security and Compliance: Manage SOC 2 ongoing compliance and conduct quarterly system access audits.
  • Manage third party MDR security firm (e.g., eSentire).
  • Ensure proper security measures for IT infrastructure, including antivirus management, mobile device management and network access controls.
  • Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security measures to safeguard company assets and data.
  • Training and Support: Develop and maintain documentation, knowledge base articles, and training materials to support end-users.
  • Create user guides and FAQ resources for self-help purposes.
  • this role requires some in-person attendance to our Toronto office for the purpose of equipment management
What We Are Looking for:
  • Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or similar role (minimum 2 years).
  • Proficiency in various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and network troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly convey information to non-technical colleagues.
  • Nice to have:Professional IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) and experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure) and remote desktop applications.
