We are seeking recent graduates to join our
Management Development Program. This is a full-time, salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to earn profit sharing.


The Role:


Management Trainees progress through a structured program to learn our business - from shipping and receiving, operations management to teammate development and more.

You will get to know our clients by growing a sales territory of your own and providing world-class customer service.

You will receive guidance, mentoring, and support from our experienced leaders to build a successful management career at Westlund.

Program Outline:

Warehouse logistics - est

6 months:
Understand the products we sell and how they get from the manufacturer to the end user.

Inside sales - est

1 year:
supporting client needs including managing large-scale projects. Get involved in order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, financial statements, and more.

Sales and Account Management - est

15 years:
Learn how to find new business opportunities, sell our products, negotiate contracts, and build client and vendor relationships.

Supervisor - est

6 months:

It is now your opportunity to provide a strategic vision, lead a team of your own, mentor others, and run the business.


Once you have completed the phases of training, you will be ready to take on the challenge of being a manager at one of our Canadian Profit Center locations.


Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma all disciplines of study will be considered
  • Growth and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong interest in sales
  • Desire to continuously learn and grow and possess a strong work ethic
  • Excellent leadership, customer service and organizational potential
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license
