Main responsibilities:

  • Developing tailored mental health programs for different client groups
  • Implementing innovative approaches to mental health service delivery, including digital therapeutics
  • Applying unique assessment skills to various scenarios, from pre-employment evaluations for high-risk jobs to diagnostic assessments for treatment planning
  • Providing individual and group therapy for a range of conditions within the psycho-social context
  • Contributing to training sessions and interdisciplinary case reviews

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Psychology from an accredited university
  • Active registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (proficiency with adult populations; clinical background preferred)
  • Experience conducting psychological assessments for treatment purposes
  • Background in developing and assessing mental health programs is advantageous
  • Previous experience working in interdisciplinary settings and with third-party payers is beneficial
  • Knowledge of telehealth/virtual care methods is a plus
