The Houseperson has the responsibility to maintain high standards of cleanliness inside the hotel. The duties of Houseperson are, but not limited to the following;

  • Ensure public areas are cleaned as per brand standards
  • Replenish supplies in linen rooms
  • Report faulty equipment in related areas immediately
  • Respond to house calls in timely manner
  • Clean and maintain public washrooms
  • In emergency situations, as required, must clean rooms as per housekeeping
  • Assist with stripping and/or cleaning of guest rooms as/when required
  • Must obtain 95% cleaning scores in guest rooms
  • Must be available all shifts mornings and weekends.
  • Other duties as may be assigned

Physical Demands:
Excessive standing, walking, bending, lifting

Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have the ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests and employee
  • Must have the ability to read and write English
  • Must be selfmotivated and detail oriented
  • Previous experience in a hotel environment an asset
  • Must be flexible with shift availability (mid shifts, and weekends)
  • Onsite parking

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Every Weekend
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Richmond Hill, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
