What you'll do

·Transcribea variety of medical dictation, including correspondence and reports to Courtand Review Board by typing material from Dictaphone or handwritten notes andediting output for accuracy. Enter data into typing log in order to track completedreports.

·Providereception services by operating a multi-line reception switchboard,ascertaining nature of business, responding to inquiries, taking/relayingmessages and/or redirecting callers to appropriate personnel, providing basicinformation, greeting and responding to all clients and visitors arriving atthe clinic, and directing and notifying the appropriate staff of theirpresence.

·Processreferrals and enter client data into computer systems, databases and othersoftware programs.

·Maintainclient charts by creating clinical records and ensuring material is labeledwith patient information; monitoring documents for completeness, signature and dates;returning outstanding items to appropriate staff members; filing documents intorelevant sections; replacing or repairing old/damaged charts; completing theclinical record upon discharge; and ensuring all records are assembled.

·Coordinateand prepare client charts for off-site storage. Initiate retrieval requests andorganize the return of records to storage.

·Maintainschedules and perform event and program tracking by logging into and reviewingelectronic calendars/schedules, monitoring upcoming deadlines and appointmentdates including court assessments and Review Board, and providing reminders tostaff as appropriate.

·Typea variety of non-technical material such as general correspondence, forms,lists, memorandums, and notes from handwritten draft or Dictaphone by utilizingword processing software and distributing material as required.

·Arrangemeetings by booking meeting rooms, typing and circulating notices and agendas.Record, transcribe, and distribute meeting minutes.

·Maintainsupplies and arrange for repair and maintenance of office equipment andfurniture.

What you bring

·Grade12 graduation

·Graduationfrom an approved program in Medical Transcription

·One(1) year of recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination ofeducation, training and experience.

You have the ability to:

·Keyboardat least 60 wpm

·Communicateeffectively, both verbally and in writing

·Dealwith others effectively

·Physicallycarry out the duties of the position

·Organizework.

·Operaterelated equipment
