Established in 1997, Vocational Alternatives Inc. is a vocational rehabilitation consultation firm specializing within the personal injury, family law and insurance and disability sectors.

With streamlined procedural processes in assessment and rehabilitation services, we have become leaders in our field ensuring the provision of thorough assessment, well rationalized and articulated opinion, and meaningful and sustainable outcomes for our clients.

We are looking to grow our roster of qualified certified vocational professionals across Canada in the following areas
:Vocational Evaluation Psychometrists (Sub-Contracting Consultants)

Responsibilities:

  • Support the vocational evaluator in the vocational intake interview process through detailed notetaking and thorough reporting.
  • Administer vocational tests (general educational development, aptitude, and interest etc.), and report on the results
  • Extract and document complex medical/functional information obtained from clients' medical briefs
  • Conduct labour market research

Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree, or undergraduate degree in related discipline with other applicable postsecondary education, training, and experience
  • Experience within multidisciplinary environment documenting medical/functional information
  • Familiar with labour market trends and research techniques
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills; Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Home office, (compatible computer/ web camera / High Speed Internet Access)
  • Ownership of a Vehicle and a willingness to travel
  • Commitment to ethical practice and unquestionable integrity.
  • Familiarity with Dragon Naturally Speaking software an asset.
  • Willing to travel within the GTA or within a reasonable radius from where you reside.
Only eligible applicants will be contacted. Must be able to produce a redacted vocational report that illustrates competency within complex injury setting.

Job Types:
Part-time, Freelance

Salary:
From $30.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Whenever possible clients are being assessed through a virtual platform.

In rare cases where an assessment is being conducted in-person, both parties are kept at an acceptable distance, seperate by a barrier and required to wear a masks.


Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • CVRP, CCVE, CCRC, RRP certification (preferred)
