Dual Lane Farms is a family-owned dairy farm located South of Ingersoll looked to hire a full time Calf Caretaker.

The Calf Caretaker will be responsible for feeding, caring for and tending to all calves while following set farm protocols.

This will include, diagnosing sick calves and treating them appropriately.

This position also requires cleaning of all feeding equipment and will require various different farm tasks for the benefit and health of the calves.

Hours are 6am to 11am, and 3pm to 6pm (start times are firm, end times may vary) Option for full days is available.

Must be willing to work every other weekend and holidays, as needed.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Feeding calves

• Feeding calves
• Mixing milk replacer correctly in accordance to mixing direction (as required)
• Feed milk to all calves following all set protocols
• Feed grain and provide water to calves following all set protocols

Observing calves

• Keeping a watchful eye for any abnormalities or illness in all calves
• Communicate effectively with owners on condition and performance of calves
• Properly diagnose and treat sick calves in accordance to set farm protocols
• Record illness and treatment in record book

Barn environment tasks

• Observing for air quality and dry bedding
• Cleaning bottles, grain and water buckets and other calf equipment in accordance to set farm protocols

Wages

• Competitive hourly pay
