Mott MacDonald is looking for a senior engineer with experience delivering major infrastructure projects and strong interest in digital technologies to join Mott MacDonald's rapidly growing digital team in Canada. Our digital team provides industry-leading expertise to engineering teams on infrastructure delivery projects. As a Project Manager with our Digital Team, you will:

  • Lead delivery workstreams on major transportation projects in the Greater Toronto Are
  • Work closely with senior project leadership, colleagues and client counterparts to understand and articulate project delivery challenges.
  • Define how the digital workstreams--Information Management, BIM, GIS, Data Analytics, and Automation--will respond to these challenges & support overall project delivery.
  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of individual digital workstreams on projects. This involves coordinating the efforts of individual workstream managers & technical staff to ensure their work is effective, integrated, and addresses the project objectives.

This role is based in Mott MacDonald's downtown Toronto office. We offer a hybrid work environment with flexible hours to balance work demands and life responsibilities.

Education, Skills and Experience to help you succeed in this role will include the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, or related engineering discipline.
  • 10+ years of infrastructure project design and/or construction experience with progressive accumulation of management and leadership responsibilities. Intuitive understanding of major project dynamics, hierarchies, & needs.
  • Experience working with different project delivery models such as design-bid-build, design-build and progressive design-build.
  • Experience with client interaction and ability to excel in a client-facing role.
  • Developed delivery skills and a "delivery mindset". Able to make decisions, define tasks, take action & demonstrate progress.
  • Exceptional leadership skills. Thinks strategically. Can communicate complex ideas to diverse stakeholders for understanding & buy-in. Able to structure effective teams and work through others.
  • Intuitive understating of data & relevant digital technologies—including but not limited to BIM and GIS—their capabilities and limitations, and their applications to project delivery.
  • Expertise in information management, and digital collaboration technologies including significant experience working with, designing, implementing & managing Common Data Environments (CDE) using systems such as ProjectWise, BIM 360, SharePoint, Aconex, etc. Strong working knowledge of ISO 19650 standard.
