The Accounting Services team is responsible for managing the systems and processes related to all accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounting, payroll treasury, and financial reporting.


The Role:

As an Accounts Clerk at CLBC, you will be responsible for assisting in the ongoing process of monitoring, assessing, interpreting and highlighting financial practices and policies.


This will include:

  • Prepare invoices as required by regional offices and head office and enter invoices into the financial accounting system to ensure accurate recording of revenues and receivables
  • Review and recommend internal controls to ensure procedures and mitigating processes are in place, which lead to accurate financial records
  • Perform and analyze complex general ledger reconciliations and resolves discrepancies and issues with service providers or agencies
  • Review and record reports submitted by agents to ensure that reporting is timely and complete
  • Compares and records payments received to invoices recorded, identifies discrepancies

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or relevant financial education, with 2 years' or more recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
  • Experience analyzing high volumes of information
  • Knowledge and experience undertaking accurate analysis and accruals
