Material Planning Analyst (Contract) you will support marketing efforts in a fast paced and challenging consumer packaging environment. You will work with suppliers in providing timely and accurate forecasts for short term and long term demand. You will drive process improvements and system enhancements to drive efficiencies in current forecast cycles. The Material Planning Analyst will assist with commodity planning and special projects for brands and innovation.
  • This is a contract position based out of the Toronto Brewery, reporting to the Materials Manager.
    The Responsibilities

  • Ensure that materials arrive at the plant in a timely manner and in quantities sufficient to meet the demands of the production schedule.
  • Manage all material activities for copacking/comanufacturing at outside breweries planning and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate cost reduction goals
  • Analyse procurement problems and remedy as required;
  • Liaise with suppliers to review supply, billing and other issues relating to the procurement function of the Toronto plant
  • Monitor & maintain inventory levels based on the standards set by the National Materials Manager
  • Proactively review BOMs for accuracy of usage and scrap rates.
  • Facilitate execution of GPM's at brewery level.
  • Support and facilitate fiscal month end activities to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Remain compliant with Sarbanes Oxley.

The Other Qualifications:

  • 35 years experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production Planning, Forecasting or Sales
  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Business would be considered an asset
  • Supply chain management skills
  • Working knowledge and understanding of interdependencies of production and capacity planning, scheduling process, distribution methods, inventory management, network optimization, material flow, planning forecasting, transportation, and budgets
  • Excellent computer and analytical skills
  • SAP experience would be considered an asset
