Assistant Pitmaster

Benny's Barbecue at Yonge and Eglinton is HIRING for a Full-time Assistant Pitmaster.

We are looking for individuals who may have a passion towards BBQ and food and are comfortable interacting with customers No experience in BBQ is necessary, but preferred and we train all of our employees to work all stations.

Please note, this is not a line cook job, as we are a smokehouse and operate differently than your typical Restaurant.

We are a small team, and are open Wednesday to Saturday. No late nights, and long shifts are available.

Assistant Pitmaster

Early Morning Cook

Duties include:

• Ensuring the restaurant has sufficient stock for the day's food service. Log shortages as required.
• Preparing menu items to order
• Maintaining a high degree of organization and cleanliness
• Prep (chopping, peeling, cutting) and stock cooking station with all the necessary ingredients and equipment
• Greeting Customers in a positive manner when they are entering the store
• Listening to Customers' needs to ensure questions and concerns are answered
• Operating the cash register, computers, payment processing equipment
• Maintain trash cans throughout shift and remove full trash cans and boxes at the end of each shift
• Properly wash, stack, and store: silverware, cookware, and storage containers
• Ensure washrooms are stocked once daily

$19.50-$23.00 per hour
