Responsibilities:

  • Operate sit down counterbalance forklifts (e.g. propane and/or electric)
  • Responsible for picking and staging orders in the warehouse.
  • Use laptop and barcode system to manage inventory by identifying, cataloguing and recording the location of the product and reporting shortages
  • Unload production line and put product away in designated areas in the warehouse
  • Ensure processes and systems are being followed properly and that paperwork is filled out accordingly and accurately and forwarded in a timely manner.
  • Continually look for ways to improve process efficiencies in the manufacturing of corrugated products.
  • Receive product and enter information into EFI system accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all equipment is operating properly and inform appropriate personnel of any problems.
  • Ensure that the folding carton area is kept clean and is always organized
  • Count inventory as required
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating the forklift
  • Other general warehouse related duties as requested by appropriate company personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Current forklift certificate Class 1, 4, 5 required
  • 12 years of forklift experience required
  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow written instructions
  • Ability to work well with people in a team environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
