Duties

  • Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts
  • Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools
  • Read blueprints, sketches, or computeraided design (CAD)
  • Operate, and maintain lathes, mills, CNC machines.
  • Measure, examine, and test completed tooling to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ontario College of Trades certification as a General Machinist or similar certification preferred
  • Proficient in machining operations such as milling, drilling, turning, and grinding
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Strong knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
  • Basic math skills for performing calculations and measurements accurately
  • Excellent attention to detail and problemsolving abilities

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
$21.87-$27.81 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
