THE OPPORTUNITY

The Shipper/Receiver receives and stores commercial furniture products from vendors. As scheduled, they pull and load products for delivery to customers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Shipping & Receiving

  • Manually receive incoming shipments from vendors with an emphasis on confirming quantities and any documenting/reporting any damages or short shipments.
  • Tag and segregate product for storage, shipment or delivery
  • Match up and receive all network orders
  • Enter all receiving information into Hedberg
  • Work with Warehouse Coordinator on receiving exceptions/damages
  • Ensure returns area is kept clean, returned product is put away correctly and Hedberg is updated as required
  • Load daily trucks for install with the goal to be 100% loaded by 8:00am
  • Ensure products scanned out and loaded safely onto trucks. Secure all loads as per SWP and provincial guidelines.

Customer Storage

  • Unload, stage, dispose of, load Customer stored products
  • Ensure Customer product is neat, organized, safe and easy to access

Outgoing Freight

  • Assemble product to the level required
  • Prepare product for shipment in a manner the product will arrive with no damages; palletize, protect, wrap, strap & secure

Demo Program

  • Pull demo product for delivery ensure cleanliness & proper operation
  • Assist in demo returns, checking chairs are in working order and cleaning if necessary

Facility Maintenance

  • Ensure warehouse is clean and all aisles are always kept clear
  • Safely load cardboard into compactor
  • Empty garbage cans around warehouse
  • Assist with cleanliness and upkeep of warehouse
  • Yard and facility maintenance as needed. Maintain landscaping, lawn mowing & cleanliness of the exterior of the building
  • Ensure sidewalks and entrances are clear of snow & ice
  • Weekly walk around to remove debris

Computer Software/Apps & Reports

  • Process all shipping & receiving in Application software
  • File, scan, record and organize paperwork

Other Duties

  • Assist with inventory control & yearly inventory counts
  • Assist installers in locating product when necessary
  • Backup Warehouse Coordinator in their absence

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • 1 to 3 years of relatable experience
  • Proficient using a computer and experienced with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Driver's license and ability to drive is an asset.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Able to multitask various duties effectively with tact, patience, and professionalism.
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift 50lbs
