Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Indepth knowledge of Ontario CVOR regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing safety programs.
  • Prior experience in a similar role within the transportation industry.
  • Ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and drive safety initiatives.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards.
  • Relevant certifications or training in transportation safety and compliance is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively train employees and communicate safety policies
  • Analytical skills to identify hazards, assess risks, and develop appropriate control measures
  • Attention to detail to ensure compliance with safety standards and accurately document incidents
  • Problemsolving skills to investigate accidents/incidents, determine root causes, and recommend solutions
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Duties:

  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and assess the effectiveness of safety measures
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
  • Provide safety training and education programs for employees to promote awareness and reduce risks
  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training activities
  • Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills
  • Stay uptodate with industry best practices and changes in safety regulation.
