The Role:

As a valuable member of Maple Leaf Food's Maintenance team, you will be accountable for the upkeep and maintenance of equipment crucial to our daily production. Your responsibility extends to ensuring the safety of plant operations and the work environment for all staff.

A Day-in-the-Life Overview:

  • Perform a wide array of maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, fabrication, preventative maintenance, and immediate repairs independently
  • Boost equipment efficiency, propose and implement enhancements
  • Self-driven to maintain high performance standards
  • Display a keen eye for detail, a sense of urgency, and take ownership of work quality
  • Follow instructions from drawings, written or verbal guidance, and sketches
  • Prioritize safety and contribute to the production process success
  • Proficient in computerized maintenance management systems (preferably SAP)
  • Execute preventive maintenance routines
  • Required to have personal tools
  • Ensure all work operations adhere to GMP's, HACCP, WHMIS, and safety regulations

Your Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience with packaging, cooking, breading, and forming equipment is preferred
  • Mandatory Millwright Certificate
  • High school diploma or equivalent
