CNC Machinist - Permanent full-time position

Location:
Grimsby

Pay:
up to $30/hr. (based on experience)

Days – 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

  • OT after 40 hours
  • RRSP

  • 2 weeks vacation + week paid shut down over holidays

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in set-up, programming, and operation of CNC 3-axis Mill or CNC 5-axis Mill using SolidWorks
  • Must have HANDS ON experience using CAM or CAD software in a work environment
  • Completion of General Machinist 429A CoQ/CoA preferred
  • Must be comfortable standing for long periods of time
  • Experience using measuring equipment
  • Proven high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Forklift certification preferred but willing to train
  • Mechanically inclined and strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-function team
  • Team-oriented and demonstrated ability to collaborate with others
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices in a manufacturing environment

Position Overview:

  • Responsible for Set-up, programming, and operation of CNC 3-axis Mill or CNC 5-axis Mill
  • Accurately interpret blueprints and other technical drawings
  • Set parts and tools, and measure parts
  • Perform first op-inspections and quality checks on machined parts
  • Use of other manual mills, lathes, saws, and other machinery as needed
  • Ensure the use of proper PPE
  • Other related duties as required
