How will you make an impact with BMC?

What will you do, day-to-day?


You will work in the beautiful, downtown Vancouver office of one of our clients, but meet at our nearby office throughout the week to spend time with your BMC teammates both professionally and socially.

This position is part of an on-call rotation for approximately one week in eight.

During the on-call period, you will be expected to respond to requests from clients and urgent server alerts in a timely manner, according to the defined on-call policy.


Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Troubleshooting daytoday issues for users at the primary client site
  • Collaborating on projects with the IT Manager at the primary client site
  • Working on tickets for other BMC clients in an assigned queue, including:
  • Setting up new users, including workstation configuration
  • Documenting issues and resolutions
  • Communicating with vendors on behalf of clients
  • Escalating issues to Client Services Technician 2 support, when needed
  • Collaborating with team members across various team, including senior management
  • Entering and allocating time accurately
What will you bring to the team?

  • 1 or 2 years of related experience (recent graduates with service desk / end user support experience will be considered)
  • Ability to prioritize and organize, handling multiple users and tickets
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and decisionmaking skills
  • Experience and skills in:
  • Support technical related issues involving Microsoft Operating Systems Exchange (basic), Remote Desktop Services, Active Directory, and Office
  • Support services for Microsoft related technologies: Microsoft 365 and Azure
  • SharePoint/OneDrive Administration
  • Support services for backup technologies: Veeam, Datto, and Azure
  • Network support and troubleshooting: Wi-Fi, switches, firewalls
  • Support services for virtualization technologies: VMware
  • LabTech or other RMM systems
  • ConnectWise or other PSA systems
  • ITIL
