Job Summary:
We have an opportunity for a Junior Financial Analyst, Co-op to join our team in Richmond. In this role, you will support financial analysis for the FP&A business unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Support financial analysis for business units, including preparation of monthly forecasts and ongoing operations reports
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on spend and project hours
  • Reconcile monthly accounting accruals and reversals with actual spend and explain variances from the budget or previous forecasts
  • Work with team members in multiple geographic regions to achieve a comprehensive understanding of the spend to date and changes to the upcoming forecasts
  • Adhoc analysis/reports, as necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a postsecondary degree preferably with a focus on business, accounting, finance, or economics
  • Experience with QlikSense (or Tableau or Microsoft PowerBI), JDE, Anaplan will be considered an asset
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • High proficiency with Excel and working knowledge of Power Point and Word
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills (written/verbal)
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Flexible in order to meet demanding requests
  • Must be able to deal with confidential information in a professional and tactful manner
