About the role

A day in the life

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation communications strategies and materials that consider the unique needs of our different regions and align with the brand's purpose, vision and narrative goals.
  • Work closely with our agencyofrecord and crossfunctional teams such as Guest Education Centre, Digital Engagement and Social to assess and manage timesensitive situations while providing council and strategic communications solutions.
  • Proactively identify and track reputational risks or emerging areas of concern, prepare contingency plans to address potential scenarios.
  • Collaborate with the global and regional communications teams and internal stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach to managing risk and issues.
  • Contribute the evolution and advancement of the issues and risk management function by leveraging data analytics and enhancing tools and implementing processes.
  • Monitor emerging trends and media coverage, support with research and development of materials for scenario planning and simulations.
  • Report on risk management activities and their impact on the business.
  • Connect and liaise with global and North America media on a regular basis.

Qualifications:

  • You are highly motivated with a minimum of years' experience in strategic communications, agency, brand reputation, or analytics role.
  • You have demonstrated excellence in managing risk and complex issues within a fastfaced environment.
  • You are familiar with media within North America and global digital landscapes, with a keen understanding of current social issues and the ability to analyze public and media sentiment.
  • You have a sharp attention to detail and a consistent approach to problem solving and relationship management; ability to think ahead and take initiative.
  • You love connecting with others and have a proven ability to work within a team and crossfunctional partners in a large organization.
  • You have advanced knowledge of Smartsheet and other analytical techniques and tools.
  • Agency experience preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
