OLG is now expanding our horizons even further, with a new strategic direction, to become a world class gaming entertainment leader with a globally admired digital platform.

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Director Cloud and Transformation Management who is accountable for ensuring the high reliability, scalability, availability, and performance of the organization's cloud solutions. This includes leading the planning, implementation, and ongoing management of the cloud strategy and initiatives to support the migration to cloud and leading the integration applications support service..

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the VP Infrastructure and Cloud Services, you will be empowered to:

  • In collaboration with other Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) teams, provide leadership and direction to a team accountable for all aspects of OLG cloud environment and integration platforms that support all OLG enterprise digital properties across all of OLG and integration tools respectively to provide stable and reliable technology solutions, including but not limited to

service installation

configuration

24/7 monitoring, alerting, and problem resolution

ongoing availability

scalability

security

functionality

maintenance (including preventative)

upgrades and patches

optimisation

lifecycle management (including decommissioning), ensuring reporting and tracking accuracy

tier 2 cloud and application support

  • support of tier 3 cloud and application support when required, and escalation as necessary to ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner,
  • development and oversight of testing of failure response, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans to ensure adequate recovery time to minimize any disruptions, and
  • ensuring key process and procedures documentation pertaining to cloud operations are maintained, and collateral is kept up to date and utilized by new joiners to enable business continuity.
  • In collaboration with the other teams across EIT, lead the assessment of the current state of OLG's application portfolio in relation to cloud readiness and suitability, and develop a strategy and plan to move appropriate applications to cloud.
  • In collaboration with other teams across Infrastructure and Cloud Services (ICS), lead the assessment, planning, and execution of initiatives to better leverage appropriate cloud and integration technologies to improve ICS's service delivery in a cost-effective manner.
  • Contribute to architecture and planning decisions to support the implementation, testing, and integration of new cloud infrastructure and applications and ensure stability of all environments, including release strategy and processes for change, service readiness, and acceptance and service transition.
  • Lead and collaborate with stakeholders across OLG and external vendors to ensure application and infrastructure solution designs drive the desired business results and manage the resulting changes and/or enhancements to cloud and integration environments.
  • Identify, assess, and communicate cloud/on-premises operational risks and support the development of risk mitigation plans and recommendations to reduce any risk exposure.

WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY

Work Experience:
• years of progressive, leadership experience in operations technology or equivalent, with strong understanding of cloud hosting environments.
• Minimum years' experience in cloud (and additionally on-premises) operations, and application operations in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
• Minimum 7 years' experience managing teams of technical specialists.
• Strong ability to communicate with team, peers, vendors, partners, and senior leaders.
• Experience managing and maintaining both on-premises and cloud application environments.
• Proficient in the below primary knowledge competency areas.

Education:
• Post-secondary degree, preferably in computer science, information systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
