We're looking for an eager go-getter who is willing to take their marketing specialties and amplify one of the best brands in Northern Ontario

We're looking for a someone who will:

  • Develop creative marketing tactics and strategies, action plans and campaign objectives to achieve project goals and increase visitor engagement.
  • Lead media relations strategies and events to proactively promote Science North's traveling exhibit. Tasks include writing media releases, event planning, management of media requests etc.
  • Work collaboratively to create marketing briefs that offer unique strategies and ensure timely delivery of marketing assets.
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate paid advertising campaigns, including the tracking and reporting of digital analytics.
  • Write, edit, and proof creative copy.
  • Working with the graphics department, generate creative assets (advertisements, invites, etc.) and ensure they are delivered on time without error.
  • Manage campaign calendar and due dates, ensuring tour marketing is on schedule.
  • Identify and execute opportunities and concepts for new visitor growth.
Our future marketing specialist should have knowledge and skills in the following:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Studies, preferably in Marketing, Public Relations, or Communications.
  • Marketing or communications background and/or related experience relevant to the position.
  • Experience in creating marketing campaigns from initial concept idea to final reporting period.
  • Strong project management skills to effectively lead multiple campaigns at once.
  • Outstanding collaboration and communication skills to ensure seamless alignment and understanding among all parties involved.
  • Strong copywriting skills demonstrated proficiency in clear and proper language copy, editing, and proofreading.
  • Superior organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
  • A willingness and ability to work occasional weekends and/or evenings to oversee events coordinated by the Marketing department.
  • Intermediate to Advance skills in O36
  • Attention to detail, strong work ethic, and positive team attitude.
  • Professional demeanor under stressful situations with an ability to work in a fastpaced environment.

This is a full-time opportunity working primarily weekdays, daytime but must be willing and able to work occasional weekends and/or evenings to oversee events coordinated by the Marketing department.

Work is based in Sudbury at 100 Ramsey Lake Road.
