About us
Le Petit Kangaroo Child Care Centre we support the growth and success of every child. We teach children at a very early stage of their lives basic French communication. We value diversity and believe in the collaboration of employees to accomplish goals. Our program support positive and responsive interactions among children, parents, and staffs. We encourage children to interact and communicate in a positive way and support children's ability to self-regulate. Our program fosters children's exploration, and play by providing child-initiated and adult supported experiences. We plan for and create positive learning environments and experiences in which each child's learning and development are supported.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Assist with proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Develop and implement child care programs that support and promote physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest and providing opportunities to express creativity through media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
  • Reponsibe for planning and implementing experiences based on children's interest.
  • Design and maintain a safe and developmentally approparite program space.
  • Observe and asses children's behaviour to support their learning
  • Demonstrate knowlege of Montessori though How does learning happens and ELECT
  • Ensure the program compliance with all Ministry and program's standards. i.e. CCEYA
  • Identify, select, and modify work in the room to meet the needs of children with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs

Language requirement:
English and French (preferred)

Salary:
$15.50-$20.00 per hour

Benefits:

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
