As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient transportation and distribution of goods.

You will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring logistics operations, from procurement to delivery to meet customer demands and optimize processes.


Responsibilities:

  • Arrange transportation for goods, including negotiating rates, selecting carriers, and scheduling shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Oversee inventory levels and warehouse organization to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory. Coordinate with suppliers and warehouse staff to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
  • Prepare shipping documents, such as bills of lading and customs forms, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and procedures.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for logistics partners, suppliers, and internal teams. Communicate shipment status updates and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation.
  • Identify logistics challenges and implement effective solutions to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations, such as ontime delivery rates and transportation costs, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Continuously assess logistics processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the overall logistics function.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations, customs procedures, and logistics software.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software.
  • Attention to detail and strong problemsolving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
