Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Banking & Treasury Operations, you will oversee day-to-day collateral operations along with transforming collateral. This opportunity allows you to make a significant impact on Wealthsimple's financial operations and contribute to the company's growth in a rapidly evolving industry.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:- Build and lead the Collateral Operations team.
- Manage day-to-day collateral operations, meeting daily collateral calls and funding needs.
- Optimize short-term collateral requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to forecast and anticipate collateral growth, developing operational strategies.
- Problem-solve and work with various stakeholders to support new product launches and scale existing ones.
- Provide strategic advice on business decisions related to collateral management.
- Establish processes and metrics for comprehensive visibility into collateral needs.
- Relevant Experience: 3+ years in collateral management.
- Organization & Planning: Efficient in prioritizing and balancing day-to-day tasks with projects.
- Data & Analytics: Proficient in using data to solve problems and make decisions, SQL & modeling skills are beneficial.
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills for teamwork, leading cross-functional projects.
- Strong Written & Verbal Communication: Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and simply to diverse audiences.
- Problem Solving: Proactive in identifying and resolving issues with a high level of ownership.
- Proactive & Action Oriented: Takes initiative and seeks input for well-supported solutions.
- Efficiency: Produces significant output with minimal effort, seeks efficient solutions.
- Honesty/Integrity: Acts with integrity and does what is right.
- Special Requirements: Available to work 7:00 am-3:00 pm EST.
