Nick Day Design is a custom millwork shop specializing in high-end residential cabinetry and furniture for Toronto clients. Seeking a skilled installer to join our growing team.


The main role of this position is on-site installation with a portion of time spent assisting with production in the shop.

Projects include a range of residential built-in cabinetry including kitchens, vanities, shelving, closets, etc.

We work with a range of materials (wood veneers, solid woods, MDF, melamine) with a focus on veneer and spray lacquer finishes.


Duties

  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings and follow detailed instruction
  • Installation of millwork to a high finish standard according to plans provided
  • Skilled at problem solving issues that may arise during installation
  • Maintain a clean and safe work space. Safe operation of tools and equipment
  • Ensure attention to detail and proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may affect completion of the job

Qualifications

  • Experience in cabinet installation. Minimum 35 years
  • Able to operate standard woodworking tools and equipment safely and effectively
  • Valid G Class Driver's License
  • Good attitude and a team player

Tools/Equipment

  • Small work van provided for transportation to job sites
  • Standard install tools provided.
  • Basic hand tools required (drills/bits, measuring tools).
