We're on the lookout for a proactive and meticulous Shipper/Receiver to join our crew at the Stoney Creek facility. The ideal candidate will manage the efficient shipping, receiving, and handling of steel coils.

This position entails utilizing ERP software systems to accurately record and oversee inventory, shipments, and receiving procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and fulfill orders for delivery or pickup as per schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
  • Operate Crane, pallet jacks, and other warehouse gear for safe steel coil loading and unloading.
  • Utilize ERP software for inputting, tracking, and managing inventory details, including shipping and receiving information.
  • Collaborate with logistics and transportation firms to arrange shipments and deliveries.
  • Perform regular inventory checks to uphold precise stock levels and detect any inconsistencies.
  • Maintain a tidy and structured warehouse space, adhering to safety protocols and standards.
  • Effectively communicate with internal departments such as procurement, sales, and production to ensure smooth operations.

Preferred qualifications encompass additional education or certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or equivalent areas.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Shipper/Receiver, preferably in the steel or manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in utilizing ERP software for managing inventory and data.
  • Exceptional focus on detail and precision when handling data and documentation.
  • Adeptness in forklift operation and other warehouse equipment; Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
