Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time Accounting Coordinator for our client, a Canadian-based company, in Edmonton, AB. In this role you will be responsible for A/R Invoice & Statement Preparation .This role requires a 2 years experience and post secondary education in Accounting.

  • Location: Edmonton, AB
  • Shifts: Monday to Friday | 8hrs/day |
  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time | 1 month contract

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

  • A/R Invoice & Statement Preparation & Issuance (incl. the review & release of invoices along with corresponding report(s)
  • Process a high volume of daily invoices
  • Credit Card, EFT & Cheque Payment processing
  • Aged A/R Report Tracking & Collections Calls
  • Fielding all basic Accounting Departmental phone calls & emails
  • All A/P Payment processing (incl. ensure all invoices/vendor invoices are properly authorized, receiving documents are reconciled to purchase orders/quotes, coding is confirmed, company credit card receipts are all collected, reconciled to the corresponding statements, coded, posted and paid without penalties)
  • Expense forms are gathered, coded, receipts are matched off, posted and paid
  • A/P Filing; AR Filing
  • Month End Processing & Tracking Reports
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Payroll Processing
  • Other Accounting & Administrative duties as assigned by Controller

Your strengths include:

  • 2+ years as a Full-Cycle Accounting Coordinator
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting. University degree is preferable
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Computer Skills required: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Experience working with Sage 50
  • Payroll experience is considered an asset
  • General Ledger and financial statement preparation are considered an asset
  • Accurate keyboarding and data entry
  • Highly organized and excellent time management skills; self-motivated
  • Ability to prioritize quickly and effectively
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Good communication both verbal & written
  • Possess the ability to work both independently and within a team environment
