About us


New York News is a fast-paced, engaging and locally owned and operated convenience store located in the heart of the Niagara Falls tourist district.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to fulfill the role of a cashier at this fast paced tourist convenience store.


Duties will include:

  • Processing purchases in a timely fashion
  • Lottery & Tobacco Sales
  • Handling of food (Food Handling required or willing to get at store's expense)
  • Stocking Shelves
  • Greeting customers and offering assistance when necessary
  • Maintaining a clean store environment

Qualifications:

  • Two years previous experience as a cashier is required.
  • Must be willing to obtain a police check which will be paid for by the company.
  • Prior lottery and tobacco experience would be considered an asset
  • Must be willing to obtain Food Handlers Certification at the company's expense or show proof of prior certification

Job Type:

Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-30 per week
