Program Overview:
The Analyst will participate in a one-week training and orientation program.
In addition to this on-the-job experience, the program includes the opportunity to network across various business groups, learn about the culture of BMO Capital Markets, participate in training and learning seminars, and obtain career guidance from dedicated mentors.
Responsibilities:
As a Summer Analyst in our Sustainable Finance team at BMO Capital Markets, you will gain valuable exposure to a wide number of industries and work with a variety of financial products, including public and private debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and financial advisory
Specific responsibilities include:
- Deal structuring and execution (analysis, due diligence, capital structuring, client communications, delivering transaction documentation, etc.,)
- Industry, regulatory and client research and analysis, including analyzing and writing internal and external content, and interpreting ESG scores and other relevant data, and more
- Developing client presentations materials and supporting client relationships and business development
- Writing internal and external marketing memoranda
- Assist in identifying new client opportunities
- Running valuation analyses
This position is ideally suited to talented, highly motivated individuals who seek to build a solid, comprehensive foundation in the basic to intermediate skills of Sustainable Finance.
Qualifications:
As an Analyst, you will be part of a dynamic Sustainable Finance environment.
We are looking for highly motivated, mature individuals with:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a graduation date of December 2024 or Spring 202
- An undergraduate degree in finance, math, accounting, engineering, economics, statistics;
- A minimum cGPA of 3.4/4.0;
- Outstanding academic, achievement and peer recognition;
- Excellent analytical skills in business, financial and credit analysis areas;
- Strong interpersonal skills used within a demanding team environment;
- Demonstrated proactivity, resiliency, and an unfailingly positive attitude;
- Ability to attentively review, assess and provide detailed information daily on multiple projects in an organized manner;
- Excellent capacity to independently function as part of a team through selfmotivation;
- Strong work ethic and a high level of professional integrity.
